The Northwestern Ontario End-of-Life Care Network is a non-profit organization that is committed to advancing end-of-life care in Northwestern Ontario. We are one offourteen Networks that have been formed across the province of Ontario as part of the provincial government’s End-of-Life Care Strategy.
The Northwestern Ontario End-of-Life Care Network does not directly provide care services. However, we envision a full range of high quality client-centered palliative/end-of-life care services available to the people of Northwestern Ontario in the care setting and the community of their choice through an integrated palliative care network. Our aim is to improve the quality of care at the end of life for all people and enable more individuals to live and die in the place of their choice.
As a network, we are entirely membership driven. Our members represent various groups, organizations and individuals from Thunder Bay, the regions east and west of Thunder Bay, and Northern and remote communities, who have come together to provide advocacy and support to promote the best quality end-of-life care for our Northern communities.
