24-Hour Hotline

Palliative Care 24-Hour Hotline

The St. Joseph’s Care Group in collaboration with Palliative Pain and Symptom Management Program has created a hotline for palliative clients, their families and health care providers to receive 24-hour access to a Hospice Outreach Team Nurse with expertise in palliative pain and symptom management. This program is available to residents of Thunder Bay and region. The 24-hour hotline provides access to a Hospice Outreach Team Nurse who can provide assistance in the following areas:

Information about palliative care
Resource for symptom management
Support to teams, programs and agencies to enhance palliative care delivery
Education information
Linkages and access to available palliative care services
Palliative Care Physician input (available 24 hours at unit discretion)
